In 2021 Sweetgreen put together an incredible creative team with a mandate to really push the brand. The effort was headed by Thomas Wilder and Emily Morris, who tapped Brian Okarski to direct design and Marisa Aveling to lead creative. I was glad to find myself in the mix and got to work closely with all those great folks on tons of aspects of the brand. We did a naming system for their new campus, created an artist playlist series, did a cooking show with a star gamer, collaborated with Naomi Osaka, wrote a brief for a dessert, and I got to create and write concepts for four different menu seasons.
